It’s that time of year! Exams are over, school’s nearly out and the holidays are just beginning. July is the start of a long and fun-filled Summer holiday and we couldn’t be more ready.

Bluedot Festival

Taking place over the weekend of July 7th-9th, Bluedot Festival is an award-winning festival of discovery at the grounds of a deep space observatory.

Set against a backdrop of the iconic Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, Bluedot combines a fantastic array of music with a ground-breaking programme of live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks.

Bike & Boats Festival

Coming up on July 9th, the Bike & Boats Festival is to come to Ellesmere Port.

Bring your bikes and join a ride with live music at a festival to celebrate Ellesmere Port’s rich historic past of bicycles and boats. The bike ride is 1.6 miles along a flat traffic-free canal towpath and roads closed to cars, suitable for all ages. There will also be prizes for the best-decorated bikes! Then, after a session of pedal power why not visit Ellesmere Port’s Museum’s amazing collection?

Meet at Civic Hall on Civic Way to join the parade to cycle down to the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port.

 Foodies Festival

The UK’s biggest celebration of food and drink is making its way to Cheshire!

Between 14th-16th July, Knutsford’s Tatton Park will host the Foodies Festival as it showcases a huge range of street food, BBQ arena, ‘Cake and Bake’ theatre and eating competitions. Enjoy a weekend of nibbles and a fantastic array of live music and artisan shopping.

There will even be a Children’s Cookery Theatre just for your little ones, and Candice Brown from The Great British Bake Off is rumoured to be heading there too!

CarFest North

Taking place over 28th-30th July, Boleswroth Castle in Tattenhall will play host to CarFest North.

Packed with as much 4 wheeled action as can be squeezed into a weekend, CarFest North is set to showcase the Hill Climb Track Show, Car Club displays and a Vintage Village, as well as an on-site kitchen stacked with delicious goodies!

Step into a magical world of dance workshops, custard pie fights and a truly fantastic round up of some stunning motors. This years’ musical line-up is also set to include the Manic Street Preachers, Tom Odell, Rick Astley and Seasick Steve with even more amazing acts still to be announced.

Sandbach Rock & Pop Fest

Have you heard? The Sandbach Rock & Pop Festival is coming to town! Be sure to head to Sandbach Rugby Union on 29th July, with a fantastic 4 top UK tribute acts ready to perform including Totally Taylor and Definitely Might Be.

Sure to be a day filled with great entertainment for all the family, the event also hosts a children’s play area and bouncy castle and you can even have your face painted too.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the guest star as well – it’s The Stig!
