The decorations are up, the lights are twinkling and the turkey is on order – December is finally here and we’re looking forward to the festivities!

An Audience with Father Christmas

Lyme, Disley, Stockport, Cheshire, SK12 2NR

Each Friday – Saturday beginning 24th November until 24th December

Make a start to the Christmas festivities in the heart of Cheshire by bringing the whole family to meet Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and their helpers.

This year the Lyme Chapel will be transformed into a warm and magical setting featuring a stunning tree and decorations, music and comfy rugs to relax on.

 

 

Booking it essential and it’s best to check in at the ticket office 15 minutes before your time slot to make sure you don’t miss out.

You can also enjoy a Christmas story read by Mother Christmas and all children are also invited to pick up a gift from Father Christmas himself!

Friends of Ness Gardens Magical Christmas Evening

Ness Botanic Gardens, Neston Road, Neston, Wirral, CH64 4AY

Friday 1st December

Take an evening visit to Ness Botanic Gardens to enjoy mince pies and mulled wine whilst decorating your own Christmas wreath.

The on-site café will serve hot food throughout the evening and the visitor centre will also be offering 20% off all purchases during the event. There is even be the option for little ones to make their very own all-natural Christmas decorations to pop on their trees at home!

 

 

Be sure to wrap up warm and wear sensible footwear as you step outside to see the gardens light up for Christmas. There will even be a very special guest waiting to meet the family in the workshop!

Weston Christmas Light Display

Carters Green Farm, Jack Lane, Weston, Crewe, Cheshire, CW2 5LE

1st – 28th December

The Weston Christmas Lights are very close to our heart here at Swansway Motor Group and we are looking forward to the big switch on at 6pm on Friday 1 December.

Organised by Graham Witter, who’s just 23, this light display raises funds for The Donna Louise Hospice who cared for Graham’s Sister Jessica. Each year, Graham turn his parent’s farm into a winter wonderland and is aiming to raise an incredible £30,000 this year.

 

 

Swansway has been supporting Graham with this year’s fund-raising, so if you can, pop along and see this very special display.

Rode Hall Christmas Farmers’ Market

Rode Hall, Scholar Green, Cheshire, ST7 3QP

Saturday 2nd December

For a lovely morning out, a visit to the Rode Hall Christmas Farmers’ Market is a must.

With over 75 stalls selling local, homemade arts and craft, as well home grown produce, there will also be whole host of children’s entertainment to cater for everyone.

 

 

Once you’ve had a good look around all the artesian stalls, take a stroll through the Rode Hall gardens to see the displays and finish your morning with a tea and freshly baked cake in the on-site tea room.

Candlelight & Carols at Arley Hall

Arley Hall & Gardens, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6NA

4th and 6th December

A truly heart-warming outing, Arley Hall will be lit by candlelight as the choir sing delightful carols which echo through each room as you take a look around.

The Hall will also be decorated with hundreds of fresh flowers and foliage picked from the Arley gardens, thanks to local floristry colleges each with their own designed room.

 

 

Be sure to also visit the Christmas fayre in the gardens for a festive snack in the kitchen café before you head off – whether you choose the mince pies or full Christmas dinner, you’ll be very impressed!

Knutsford Lantern Parade

The Moor, Knutsford, Cheshire

9th December

Kicking off at 5pm from the Moor, the Knutsford Lantern Parade will march through the town centre led by stunning feature lanterns.

 

 

But the fun doesn’t stop at simply watching – the Council have also uploaded a lantern template so you can create your own lantern design and bring along your readymade craft. There will also be the option to book onto a lantern making workshop so you can light up the Knutsford sky!

Elf Hunt

Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve, Davenport Lane, Brereton, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 4SU

16th – 22nd December

Take a trip to the Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve to join the Elf Hunt!

 

 

Perfect for little ones, the task is to find each elf hiding around the reserve and collect their names. Be sure to bring a pair of sturdy wellies and a coat to keep you from getting muddy and a little spare change to pick up your map of the hunt from the visitor centre.
