VW releases T-Cross teaser video

Volkswagen has given a glimpse of the practicality levels in its soon to be launched T-Cross through a new video.

The compact crossover, due to be fully released early 2019, is destined to be the smallest car of its type in the Volkswagen SUV.

The video sees two ice hockey players managing to store all of their equipment in the back of the T-Cross, with items such as sticks, bags and safety padding all fitting into the car’s surprisingly spacious boot.

The T-Cross is thought to be based on the same platform as Seat’s Arona, making it smaller than the likes of the larger Volkswagen Tiguan.

Initial information form VW suggests that all vehicles will receive front traffic monitoring and lane keep assistance systems as standard. The rear seats can also be adjusted lengthwise, giving owners the ability to tailor the amount of rear-seat legroom or storage space to their specific needs.

The artist’s sketch shows a car with a bright exterior colour and large alloy wheels, perhaps hinting towards a good level of personalisation available with the production model.

VW are keeping this car under wraps and there are few other details available as yet, more information is likely to become available closer it gets to the car’s official launch date.
