With Liverpool scooping first prize, and Wrexham second, in the VWCV Customer Satisfaction, they were off for a look round the Volkswagen Crafter factory

Liverpool's John Kilby and Wrexham's James Caffel, led their teams to victory and a crafty couple of days away, albeit in sub-zero temperatures

With Liverpool scooping first prize, and Wrexham second, in the VWCV Customer Satisfaction quarter 4 competition, they were off for a look round the Volkswagen Crafter factory in Poznan, Poland.

They’d been told to take plenty of thermals as temperatures regularly reach ten degrees below!

The teams also got to see something of Poznan itself with a walking tour of the Old Town and a slap up meal with home-brewed beer. John Kilby, Assistant Head of Business at Liverpool Van Centre added

Poznan was a surprise with its historic City walls, Baroque Cathedral and the Market Square. The Crafter factory was huge and pristine; it hasn't been open very long and was far from working at capacity, so, the guide was available to give us technical insights into assembly processes, really interesting and a great prize.

James Caffel Aftersales Manager at Wrexham Van Centre commented

To say the factory is impressive is a massive understatement, it’s truly amazing. We were able to look found the whole facility, walk the production line and see exactly how the new Volkswagen Crafter is put together. Really fascinating and a great trip.
