SEAT is Winning with the CUPRA Ateca

SEAT’s latest contribution to the car market is an entirely new range - CUPRA.

And where better to start than with the car of the moment - the SUV?

Step this way to discover the CUPRA Ateca...

For over 30 years, SEAT cars have been leaders in the motorsport world, winning their first World Rally Cup title in 1986. The sporty prowess of SEAT cars has been well-demonstrated in the Ibiza and Leon which have both boasted a CUPRA trim in the past.

Now it’s time for SEAT to put its design skills to good use by introducing a dedicated CUPRA division, with the CUPRA Ateca leading the way.

The CUPRA Ateca is a performance SUV that utilises the experience of SEAT’s design team, bringing together advanced technological research and inspirational design. It’s the perfect blend of driveability and usability… and looks great too.

Why is the CUPRA Ateca So Special?

Like any performance car, the CUPRA Ateca offers a lively and engaging drive. The SUV body style provides an extra dimension with sophisticated looks, luxurious features and all the space you need for comfortable and usable motoring.

One of the main attractions of CUPRA’s first production car is that, pound for pound, you’ll struggle to get as much for the price anywhere else. In fact, the 300PS 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, capable of 0-62mph in 5.2 secs, can outperform the Porsche Macan, which will set you back £10,000 more.

Six different drive modes: Comfort, Sport, Individual, Offroad, Snow and exclusive CUPRA mode provide a choice of suspension settings allowing even better handling than the SEAT Ateca.

What’s the CUPRA Ateca Like on the Inside?

The CUPRA Ateca is just as impressive on the inside as it is under the bonnet. Impeccable performance requires an interior to match and the CUPRA Ateca doesn’t disappoint.

Leather sports steering wheel and gear knob are complemented with contrasting copper stitching while black Alcantara® sports seats are embossed with the CUPRA logo, so there’s no mistaking that you’re driving something special.

Performance can be monitored via the 10.2-inch LCD screen, built into a glossy black dashboard. Ambient lighting, aluminium pedals and eight-speaker media system add to the opulent feel.

Convenience can be found in a keyless entry and start system, Park Assist (with 12 sensors), a wireless phone charger, auto LED headlights and rain sensing wipers. If that’s not enough, the Comfort & Sound Pack adds Traffic Sign Recognition, BeatsAudio™ sound system and Electric Tailgate.

… and On the Outside?

The CUPRA Ateca has many exterior features that distinguish it from other SUVs, aside from the copper CUPRA lettering and logo. A choice of six metallic paint finishes: Energy Blue, Velvet Red, Reflex Silver, Rodium Grey, Black Magic or Nevada White are perfectly complemented by exclusive diamond-cut or machined copper 19” alloy wheels (Design Pack).

Wing mirror LEDs light up the side of the car when the doors are unlocked, providing a warm welcome and projecting the CUPRA logo onto the ground.

The CUPRA Ateca might be a thrilling drive but it needn’t be a risky one with the outstanding CUPRA care package included with all new cars. This comprises road assistance and maintenance cover for three years or 30,000 miles, and the first three services.

The CUPRA Ateca’s sporty lineage is reinforced by black brake callipers and four exhaust pipes peeping out from a rear diffuser. Throw in a choice of contrasting Glossy Black or Carbon Fibre detailing to emphasise the muscular body lines and honeycomb grille, and you’re definitely on to a winner.

As the CUPRA team looks forward to competing in the World Touring Car Racing series 2019, we can’t help but feel that the CUPRA Ateca will make light work of conquering the UK roads, having already been named WhatCar? Best Sports SUV 2019.
