We all enjoy a good bonfire, great fireworks and a toffee apple or two!

Yes, it’ll soon be that time of the year again, and with the 5th November falling on a Saturday this year, here’s a round up of bonfires and organised firework displays around our region:


Friday, November 4th:

Bonfire Night at the Observatory with firework extravaganza from 8pm. Plus Hog Roast, ice cream trailer, other outdoor food and drinks and indoor entertainment from 9pm onwards. Children go free.

Saturday, November 5th:

Crewe and Nantwich Lions are hosting their annual fireworks bash at Queens Park in Crewe. The fireworks display is guaranteed to be sensational, it’s being staged by BLITZ! Winners of this year’s Fireworks Championships. With fairground rides and entertainment this is one not to miss. Kids under 5 go free, for everyone else it’s just £5.

Saturday, November 5th:

This bonfire has always been one of the biggest bonfires in the North West, and this year should be no exception!​ The fire will be lit at 6pm and tickets are just £7 for adults, £3 for children. This year the theme is West End Musical, and the firework extravaganza is set to start later in the evening once the crowd is ready!



Saturday, November 5th:

Chester Lions annual fireworks display at Chester Racecourse will be delighting families again this year with live music and a fun fair; children under 7 go free and all other tickets are just £5.

Saturday, November 5th:

This year’s Ellesmere Port and District Lions Club community firework spectacular will be held at Whitby Park. Gates open at 4:30pm and the display is due to start at 7:30pm, but be sure to bring some change with you as all proceeds go to local charities! There will be a funfair and food outlets and is an alcohol free event. 



Saturday, November 5th:

From the team who brought you ‘The Crocky’ fireworks display. The evening will be filled with fireworks, music, lasers and refreshments. Hosted at The Plough Inn, Gates open at 6pm and fireworks are due to start at 7.30pm. Adults £5, children £3.

Saturday, November 5th:

A simply amazing display called ‘River of Light’, a collaboration between Liverpool City Council and Wirral Council this mid-river fireworks display is set to be absolutely spectacular. This free event offers more than just fireworks with globally renowned street theatre drummers Les Commandos Percu and Deabru Beltzak, forming just part of this amazing sound and light show.



Saturday, November 5th:

Henbury Bonfire and Spectacular Firework Display is a  family friendly event. Admission includes a glass of mulled wine or a soft drink, however hot drinks, burgers and hot dogs will also available to buy on site! Adult tickets are on sale for £7 and children’s tickets at £2.



Sunday, November 6th.

The Chester Fields Country Pub and Restaurant, annual bonfire and fireworks display is coming! Tickets are available now at £10 per adult and £5 per child and the firework display starts at 6pm. Hot food and drinks will be available outside for non diners and there will also be a competition for the best guy!
