Picnic Time for Everyone
If you go down to the woods today you’re in for a big surprise… it’s Picnic Week and it won’t just be the teddy bears enjoying their picnic! It’s perfect weather for everyone, to enjoy a picnic.
If you’re thinking of enjoying a family picnic, the chances are you’re interested in how you’re going to reach your little spot of picnicking heaven; with little ones and possibly not so little ones to think about, a family car is a very important purchase. Get it wrong and you could be stuck with grumpy kids and a car that’s just not fit for purpose.
Family cars tend to all into two bodystyles; MPV and SUV. These days the SUV is becoming ubiquitous, with families turning away from the MPV, to what’s currently considered to be a more stylish alternative, the SUV.
MPV
But, is that right and should you discount an MPV when you’re looking for your next family car.
Motoring journalist and dad of three, John Swift thinks that a used MPV represents great value for money:
The SEAT Alhambra is an MPV worth looking at; with seven seats and sliding side doors it offers affordable, family-friendly motoring and picnicking.
SUV
Of course there are plenty of SUVs on the market too. From the small, but perfectly formed Citroën C3 Aircross...
... to the compact, but highly coveted Jaguar E-PACE...
and the large, but lovely Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
To find out what works for you, test drive one of each; an MPV and an SUV and see what works best for your family.
Every family is different, what suits one will not suit another.
