Motoring journalist takes a look at the new cars which will be finding their way into showrooms this June.

Arriving soon at a showroom near you...

Citroën C4 SpaceTourer and Grand Space Tourer

Available as a five or seven seater, the Grand C4 SpaceTourer MPV carries a new name and replaces the former Picasso models.

From next month Citroën will add its new BlueHDi 160 diesel with stop/start, and an eight speed automatic gearbox.

The MPVs are priced from £27,550 and £29,250 for the five and seven seaters respectively.

Peugeot 108 Special Editions

Peugeot’s little 108 range has been expanded with a pair of special edition versions in unique colours, Green Fizz and Calvi Blue.

The range starts at £9,225 and the paints are available on the Allure and Collection models with a variety of special additions.

For example, the TOP! Cabrio range comes with a retractable electric fabric roof; capacitive colour touchscreen with Mirror Screen is fitted as standard on the Active trim and above and a 1.0 litre engine has been introduced.

Further safety improvements include the excellent Active City Brake and Lane Departure Warning System options, which now feature a traffic sign recognition system. This technology is available on the Allure and Collection trim level as an option, priced at £480 (incl. VAT).

Peugeot is also extending its Just Add Fuel finance package which offers three years’ insurance for up to three drivers, car tax, warranty, road side assistance and routine servicing for one fixed monthly price.

Audi E-tron

Audi’s answer to the Jaguar I-Pace is the e-tron SUV around the size of its current Q5 model.

Prices are expected to begin around the £60,000 mark and if early claims are true than it has the potential to cover more than 300 miles on a single charge.

And Maybe Never…

OK, so it’s unlikely Honda will ever build one, but it certainly caught the imagination at a recent industry press day when it wheeled out this Civic Type-R Pick Up truck.

Built by a specialist team from the Product Engineering department at Honda’s factory in Swindon and codenamed ‘Project P’, the Civic Type R Pickup Truck has been modified and developed from the standard road car to create potentially one of the fastest pickups ever.  Honda reckons Project P will do the 0 to 60 sprint in less than six seconds and hit 165 mph-plus.
