Ever find yourself cursing at the price of train station parking in the UK?

Ever find yourself cursing at the price of train station parking in the UK? You’re not alone, and new research has found the hotspots for the priciest stations in the country.

Data from car insurance firm Admiral has outed London stations St. Pancras and King’s Cross as the most expensive — with charges reaching as high as £40 per day.

Waterloo, Victoria, Paddington and Kensington Olympia were hot on their heels for this not-so-coveted crown, each with a £30 daily rate.

It’s not just within London prices are expensive, though. Reading station costs £25 daily to stop at — making it the most expensive outside the capital.

Scottish stations Glasgow Central and Edinburgh totalled £24 and £23 daily respectively, followed by Manchester Piccadilly at £21 per day. Sheffield rounded out the top five with a £19 fee.

Though the cheapest places across the country were not revealed in this research, the most affordable of the 100 looked into included Selly Oak in Birmingham and Kirkby on Merseyside, each costing just £2.40 to park at all day.
