Is now the right time to buy a new car?

By Swansway Motor Group 08-06-2020

With dealerships now open across England, is it a good time to buy a car?

Following two months of closures caused by the coronavirus pandemic, car dealerships have now reopened their doors to customers.

However, you might be wondering whether now is actually a good time to head out and buy a new car. Here are a few reasons why if you’ve been considering a new motor, now would be a great time to take the plunge.

Great offers on the table

At Swansway, there are always great offers to be found, but right now there are two brilliant finance deals available on new Volkswagen and Audi models.

Take out a Solutions Personal Contract Plan with Volkswagen Financial Services and they will cover the first three months of payments with up to 3.8% APR Representative. On top of that, there are manufacturer deposit contributions of between £500 and £8,000 depending on the model, too.

Opt for an Audi and it’s a very similar story, with the first three months of finance payments covered with up to 5.2% APR Representative and manufacturer deposit contributions of between £700 and £16,000.

What’s more, this is available in addition to existing Audi new car offers, meaning there are some fantastic savings to be made.

Lots of choice

With the closure of dealerships these past couple of months, stock hasn’t been shifting as quick as it usually would. This means there will be plenty of different used models sat waiting to be driven away.

With over 2,000 new and used models in stock, there is bound to be a model to suit you and you budget. Take a look at what we have to offer and if you still don’t feel comfortable to enter our dealerships, we have a fantastic buy online service allowing you to complete the process from the comfort of your own home.

Plenty of new models

It’s not just dealers that are keen to push their products through. Car manufacturers are constantly revealing new and refreshed models, so there were numerous models schedule to launch over the past few months that can finally be delivered to forecourts.

The upside for the consumer is that not only does that mean there’s an even wider variation to choose from in the new market, it might mean extra stock needs moving on from the previous generation models.

Scrappage schemes

The car industry has been calling on the government to introduce a nationwide scrappage scheme to encourage motorists out of their old cars and into new ones. However, while we wait on that, a surprising number of manufacturers, including Citroën, are offering their own schemes.
