e-up!

For a compact car, the Volkswagen electric e-up! certainly impresses. Clever space saving features, such as a bag hook in the glove box and extra luggage space concealed in the floor give you more than enough room to get comfortable.

Safety features come in the form of traffic sign recognition, Lane Assist, and front and side airbags so that you can confidently enjoy the full electric range of up to 162 miles. Home charging to full capacity takes 8 hours and just 20 mins to charge to 80% at a public charge station - ideal for when you pop to the shops.

All of this loveliness is wrapped up in a chic exterior design, including C-shaped LED lights and 15” blade alloy wheels - small but perfectly formed.

e-Golf

The VW Golf is regularly in the top 2 or 3 on the list of the UK’s best selling cars, so with the push towards electric vehicles, the Volkswagen electric e-Golf is a logical progression. All of the style and quality but with a more economical and quieter engine.

The full electric range of 144 miles can be achieved from 16 hours of charging at home - that’s a cost of less than 4p per mile. Or an 80% charge can be achieved in 45 mins at a public charging station. Thanks to the VW electric motor, acceleration is smooth and instant so every drive is a pleasure.

The e-Golf benefits from all of the usual Volkswagen driver assistance features, including Blind Spot Sensor, Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist and Traffic Jam Assist.

Hybrids

Golf GTE

If pure electric isn’t for you (just yet), look no further than the Golf GTE. This PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) allows you to benefit from the same sporty hatchback looks and feel of the Golf while also enjoying the perfect combination of Volkswagen electric and petrol engines.

Trips around town can be a breeze, quite literally, with up to 29 miles (NEDC) on a single charge, bolstered by an economical 1.4-litre 150PS TSI engine which automatically kicks in for longer trips. Home charging takes 3 hours and 45 mins and is even faster at a public charging station.

Combine the two engines in GTE mode for a cracking 204PS, giving you 0-60mph in just 7.6 seconds. Proving that hybrids can be just as much fun as the next car.

Passat Estate GTE

Need a little more space? Both the VW Passat saloon and VW Passat estate have been given a PHEV makeover and now combine a Volkswagen electric 13 kWh 115PS motor with a 1.4-litre TSI 218PS petrol engine. On its own, the VW electric motor manages 31 miles, with home charging completed in 5 hours.

A top speed of around 140 mph (where permitted) gives both forms of the Volkswagen Passat GTE a bit of oomph that you may not expect from a hybrid.

Nine different body colours, a choice of black or light grey interior and the chance to upgrade to 18” alloy wheels allow you to personalise your drive while you tune in to the extensive connectivity options, including apps for valet servicing, laundry collection, car parking and more…

ID. Range

Volkswagen’s contribution to the electric vehicle market is far from limited to tried and tested models. Volkswagen’s latest addition to this innovative realm, the ID. range takes a completely new direction with ground-breaking technology in the cockpit as well as the Volkswagen electric engine.

After years of research, Volkswagen’s new, all-electric collection will shortly be hitting the road, beginning with the new VW ID.3. Select from 3 different battery sizes to suit your driving style and required distance - up to a range of 340 miles - and make use of the voice controls and no gear shifting to take some of the stress out of driving as you sit back and enjoy the smooth and quiet drive.

Though the exterior may be smaller than a VW Golf, the ID.3 feels deceptively spacious on the inside and makes use of clever tech, such as wing mirrors replaced with rear-view cameras.

Soon to follow, the VW ID. Crozz SUV all-wheel-drive crossover once again demonstrates that there are very few limits when it comes to Volkswagen electric engines. The clever interior can be easily configured to accommodate either luggage or passengers or both, with B-pillars omitted for easy access all round.

With autonomous driving promised in the near future, the ID. range is a very exciting place to be. Watch this space...
