UK CAR SEAT LAWS
– 2017 –
New car seat rules introduced on 1st March 2017 offer better protection for your babies, toddlers and older kiddies, keeping you and your family safer in the car – one of Swansway Group’s favourite topics!
Take a look at our simple guide to the new rules that’ll keep your children safe and help you to stay within the law.
Some new i-Size car seats will enable your child to sit rear-facing up to the age of 4 years.
WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN A
BACKLESS BOOSTER SEAT?
Your child/children can legally continue to use a backless booster seat, provided they are at least 125cm (4ft 1’) tall and weigh over 3st 6lbs (22kg).
Remember that your child must use a booster seat until they are 12 years old or over 135cm tall.
Stick to these new regulations and you’ll help to keep your mostprecious cargo safe on the roads.
