Strange number of questions were revealed in a new survey

A new survey has revealed the strange variety of questions posed by some customers to car dealers across the UK.

A study of thousands of UK dealers found some of the strangest questions that dealers have had to field from members of the public, range from whether it could be delivered to Australia to whether an animal or property could be offered as payment.

But the question that came out on top as the strangest was whether a coffin would fit in the back of a Ford Mondeo. This was followed up by whether the customer could take the car home to see if their dog liked it.

Many customers were worried about the types of possessions they could fit in the car. These included a tuba, a long bow and arrow, and a double bass. Another customer asked if it was possible to mount a baby’s child seat on the rear shelf of a two-seater Toyota MR2.

Several dealers also reported, as part of the survey organised by Car Gurus, that they had been asked whether a car could be taken for months at a time without payment as part of an extended test drive. Others asked if payment for a car could be delayed to suit the customer’s needs.
