Audi adds Black Edition to A6 range

Audi has announced that it will be introducing a Black Edition specification to its A6 line-up.

Building on the standard S Line trim level, this new trim starts from £44,635.

It receives 20-inch V-spoke design alloy wheels (and upgrade on the 19-inch units fitted as standard to the S Line), as well as a black finish to the radiator grille surround, front air intakes and rear diffuser. The roof rails on the Avant model also get the same black finish.

Inside, Black Edition cars get front sports seats finished in leather and Alcantara, as well as a perforated sport steering wheel. Infotainment-wise, there are two separate screens fitted – an 8.8-inch unit at the top of the dash, and an 8.6-inch one installed lower down.

They provide access to functions such as the satellite navigation, media functions and heating and ventilation controls.

The car’s interface can even display information such as local fuel pricing, weather and news updates.

Owners who want to upgrade the car’s in-car tech can do so via the optional Technology Pack too, which increases the size of the upper screen – now 10.1 inches – while adding Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system and an upgraded mapping system.

Engines-wise, the Black Edition can be fitted with the same range of powertrains as you’d find on the regular A6, with a host of petrol, diesel and mild hybrid units available.

Orders book are now open for the Audi A6 Black Edition.
