It’s that time of year again – Spring has finally sprung!

April is here, and Easter is only a few short weeks away! We’re looking forward to some long weekends with much needed family time!

From adventure days in the great outdoors to arts and crafts, we’ve narrowed down our top 5 things to do with the family during April and the Easter holidays!


The Climbing Hangar

The Climbing Hangar is a fantastic venue for a fun filled adventure which the whole family can get involved in.

Quasar Elite Birmingham

Located at the heart of Acocks Green Village, just outside of Solihull, Quasar Elite Birmingham is a safe but thrilling game where players wear a light vest and carry a laser pistol while stalking opponents around a futuristic multi-level maze!

The object of each game is simply to zap as many people as you can in the set time, without getting zapped yourself. You’ll be blown away when you explore the multi-level gaming arena complete with tunnels and obstacles to conquer.

Quasar Elite laser tag is brilliant fun for families and children aged 7 upwards, and the huge gaming area is the perfect place for children to both blow off some steam and get a little exercise too!

As soon as each member of your group enters the arena, you’ll be transported to another world! Smoke, coloured lights and an all-round extra-terrestrial feeling makes for a fantastic experience, one which the whole family is sure to enjoy!

Alyn Waters Country Park

Alyn Waters Country Park is set within the beautiful Alyn Valley, and is the largest country park in the Wrexham area.

A great place to take the family for a walk or a cycle, your little ones might even catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny darting about the greenery! The Llay side allows easy access to the Local Nature Reserve, an excellent adventure playground and Golf Driving Range, or simply just a fantastic place to run about and enjoy the great outdoors.

There are a number of marked walks through grassland, riverside and woodland, which really help you to explore the site and are perfect for spotting local wildlife.

Divided by the river Alyn, the Gwersyllt side of the Park has a Visitor Centre with a permanent exhibition on the wildlife and history of the area. There’s also a café with a gift shop and toilets including baby changing facilities available.

Ghost City Chester

Hear the spine chilling tales of ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night ‘by taking part in the Ghost City Tour of Chester!

Steeped in 2,000 years of history, and with many noted ghost sightings, Chester can claim to be one of the most haunted cities in Britain.

 

Join a night-time tour around the city, where your guide will lead you to scenes of phantom phenomena, spine-chilling happenings and macabre, sinister and supernatural events.

Ghost tours are suitable for all ages, although children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Tours depart from the Town Hall Tourist Information Centre at 7:30pm each Saturday throughout April.

 


Emma Bridgewater Factory

If arts and crafts is your favourite pass time, visiting the Emma Bridgewater Factory is a must for you and the family this Easter holiday.

Between Saturday 8th – Sunday 23rd April visitors have the chance to design their own unique piece of Emma Bridgewater pottery with a Spring or Easter theme in the decorating studio*!

Choose between decorating an egg cup (from as little as £5) or secure your Early Bird slot (9.30am) to decorate a ½ pint mug for only £10 (normally £15.)

Guests can also take part in a free children’s Easter Trail where your little ones can count how many ducklings are can find hiding around the factory, and you can even visit their secret walled garden, hidden behind the gift shop!
